FINALLY….. SLPs are learning about, and incorporating facilitative contexts as a cue to try when they’ve “tried everything”. Because if you haven’t tried facilitative contexts for your /s/ students and you’re STILL STUCK, it might take you a long time unless you expand your toolkit 👏🏼

Check out @adventuresinspeechpathology for all things facilitative contexts 💪🏼

Fun therapy activity (Nerf guns + Articulation cards) but WOW!!! If you’re an SLP who has never heard of or tried facilitative contexts, you just have to add this to your knowledge!

Can you believe how quickly ALL those sounds generalised to ALL positions just by figuring out a starting place for success with a few “ch” words 🤯

P.S. we have you covered for facilitative contexts, just tell us what you need to know!

Comment “shaping” so we can send you the link to purchase the K & G Sound Handbook 🙌🏽

It has saved THOUSANDS of SLPs when they’ve “tried everything” and “nothing works.” We assure you, you have not tried everything if you don’t own this handbook 😉

We have a new Australian citizen in our household!

FUN FACT: my American husband, Paul, and I discussed living 7 years in Australia, then 7 years in the USA… but he fell in love with Australia and now he’s their newest citizen 👏🏼

Congrats babe 😘 I think you proved your citizenship when you were bitten by Australia’s most deadliest spider, but I’m glad you passed the official test!!
Sometimes it’s a PROCESS for helping children say /k/ - I’m reinforcing mouth open, back of the tongue raising here! It’s moving away from saying /t/, but we still have some work to do to get it to be clearer.

Have you ever started with a throaty sound like this and turned it into a clear /k/?
