Description
Have you ever tried minimal pairs therapy for stopping and found that your students don’t understand what you are asking them to do? What if you could read your student a story that explains their speech errors in a child-friendly manner (introducing the idea of long and short sounds), and then pair it with visuals and concepts that you can use to cue your student throughout the therapy process.

As a busy SLP who wants to plan effective therapy, stopping can be so hard to work on! It seems like it’s a phonological process that is “sticky” – meaning kids keep going back to it. This is a huge packet of tons of activities that I’ve been able to do with my phono kids in speech sessions that has provided tons of fun, engaging activities and clear visuals. I love using this packet!

I absolutely love these resources! I use them almost everyday. It’s so handy to have such a great grab and go resource when working on phonology with children. The stories and pictures are all clear and engaging. I have found the stories so beneficial and they have great ‘reminders’ to use with the parents too. After going through the story with children we refer to it in future sessions as a prompt/reminder. The minimal pairs cards are brilliant. I could not recommend this resource more!!! Thank you for yet another amazing resource!!

Another wonderful product to help implement the minimal pairs approach when working to eliminate stopping! This story made it so much easier to explain stopping speech errors in a way that is easy for my kindergarten students to understand.

I use these minimal pair toolkits every. single. day. The story is a great introduction to the skill and to the language you will be using with the kiddos to describe the sounds. The minimal pair pictures are clear and most of my clients catch on to the words represented easily. I only wish it had final position minimal pairs as well. These make for great activities in session and easy homework to send home. Highly recommend!
