SLPs love our best-selling Stopping Minimal Pairs resource for being the most comprehensive minimal pairs resource on the market! Have you ever started minimal pairs therapy for stopping and found that your students don’t understand what you are asking them to do and why they need to contrast pictures like “bun-fun?”
Or you have some students who stop “see” to “tea” and other who stop “see” to “D” and you want a flexible resource that prepares you for both patterns.
As an SLP who solely treats children with speech sound disorders, we know the importance of combining “research-with-clinical practice”, giving you EVERYTHING you need (and didn’t know that you needed) to effectively implement the minimal pairs approach and make progress week-by-week.
“I LOVE all of these phonology toolkits!! Once we read the short/long sound story, I could see lightbulbs going off for my students. I love the way that these toolkits give students tools to analyze their own speech in a relatable way.”
What makes this therapy resource unlike any other is the phonological pattern stories, which explain the student’s pattern in a child-friendly manner that makes sense and “clicks” for them (e.g., “long sound” and “short sound”).

As a busy SLP who wants to plan effective therapy, stopping can be so hard to work on! It seems like it’s a phonological process that is “sticky” – meaning kids keep going back to it. This is a huge packet of tons of activities that I’ve been able to do with my phono kids in speech sessions that has provided tons of fun, engaging activities and clear visuals. I love using this packet!

I absolutely love these resources! I use them almost everyday. It’s so handy to have such a great grab and go resource when working on phonology with children. The stories and pictures are all clear and engaging. I have found the stories so beneficial and they have great ‘reminders’ to use with the parents too. After going through the story with children we refer to it in future sessions as a prompt/reminder. The minimal pairs cards are brilliant. I could not recommend this resource more!!! Thank you for yet another amazing resource!!

Another wonderful product to help implement the minimal pairs approach when working to eliminate stopping! This story made it so much easier to explain stopping speech errors in a way that is easy for my kindergarten students to understand.

I use these minimal pair toolkits every. single. day. The story is a great introduction to the skill and to the language you will be using with the kiddos to describe the sounds. The minimal pair pictures are clear and most of my clients catch on to the words represented easily. I only wish it had final position minimal pairs as well. These make for great activities in session and easy homework to send home. Highly recommend!

I use this product with every child on my caseload who stops. The initial teaching story is really effective and engaging and I love that there is auditory discrimination built in. As always I just love and trust the AISP materials and know that they’ve thought through all the word targets to pick the most effective ones!

The Stopping Story is such a simple way to explain using short vs. long sounds. My students even tried to practice many of the long sounds in isolation during the story. I like the cards too! Good graphics and most words are functional

A great resource for students to practice their sounds and to teach them about the difference between short and long sounds.

This has been a game changer for my students with very persistent stopping errors. The concept of teaching long sounds and short sounds has been so impactful for them to check in on their own productions and has led to so much more spontaneous self-corrections or mindful productions BEFORE they make an error. I love the silliness you can incorporate into it.. “You TEA me??” *act confused* and then do the lesson about using a long sound so it doesn’t sound like a different / wrong word. It’s great. I also have a kiddo who is backing and the cards seem to be working double duty since there are t/d targets (short sounds). Will ask my site to buy me the entire kit. Thanks, Rebecca!!

This is a great resource to have. Takes the preparation time out of therapy. Great for all therapists working with SSDs. Engages students, informational, helpful. I would recommend. The resources are colorful and bright, well thought out. It makes it easy to grab and go especially if your caseload is high and you don’t have time to make your own. Thank you Rebecca!

I love this resource. It is so easy to use with my virtual students. It is a systematic approach and I am able to print out just what I need and the rest can be used virtually. I can also send home practice cards. Rebecca’s products are so thorough and I keep buying more of them.
