I use this resource with many children who have a learned pattern of ‘s’ for ‘f’ (e.g., ‘sone’ for ‘phone’). I have noticed these children also tend to have the voiced pair pattern of ‘z’ for ‘v’ (e.g., ‘haz’ for ‘have’). I know you are super busy always adding to your resources. If I could add to your long list of requested materials, minimal pairs z/v would be helpful.

It’s been hard to find a good resource for this substitution, so happy to have found Adventures in Speech!

I love the colours, the pictures and the size. I use these in many ways for the kids and they are always engaged. The only request I have with all of the cards are to have a simple sentence card to match the pairs for the more older kids to extend using the words in sentences, as I find the words can be said individually, but when put in a simple sentence loses the clearness of the focus word. Eg: thinking of one student: can say ‘fun – sun’ (with ‘s’ being the tricky initial sound) individually I can get them to produce a good ‘s’ sound by focusing on a ‘smiley face s beginning’, but when trying to put in a sentence such as ‘yellow sun’, ‘sun is yellow’ or ‘fun in the sun’ all become ‘yellow shun/ shun is yellow, fun in the shun’.
I have been trying to make my own but find it time consuming.
