MANY THANKS – LOOKING FORWARD TO USING THESE IN SESSIONS!

I did not notice that the minimal pair cards were not included until after I purchased the handbook. The information was great but I was disappointed that there were no cards for this price.
Rebecca Reinking –
Hi there, I’m sorry that you felt disappointed about this, because I receive a lot of feedback that the price is justified for the comprehensiveness and amount of research that went into this. For some background information, it was a 6-month project reading over 40 journal articles and trying to breakdown and implement the information so that SLPs can literally pick up and apply the approach the next day. I try to be as clear as I can in my product description and the naming of my resources, so I am really open to feedback on what I should say differently. I can look at adjusting “handbook” or “intervention guide” if you think the title is misleading? Thanks for your feedback, I really do take in everything and have a lot of thought on the topics.

So excited that this is available here as well as on TPT! ASP is a wealth of resources!

Thanks to your minimal pairs handbook, I got feedback from a parent today that made my day! She said that in my first session with her 5-year-old, I jokingly said “we can’t open a door with tea” and he thought that was hilarious! It totally clicked with him since then and he’s made so much progress in only two sessions so far. His mum also mentioned that they’ve been using pragmatic cues like “is that what you meant?” at home, and that he doesn’t see it as confrontational and is happy to correct his speech. Thank you so much for this amazing, comprehensive resource that I go back to regularly!
Rebecca Reinking –
I love hearing this feedback! Thank you for sharing, and good on you for implementing this evidence-based approach!

I am OBSESSED with this handbook! In theory I understand minimal pairs but in practice one million little questions pop up for me. (Which targets should I select? What do I do if the child isn’t stimulable for a target?) Rebecca has done ALL the work for me here and I am just so darn grateful to have a go-to manual for this valuable, surprisingly complex, therapy approach from an active clinician who uses this stuff on a regular basis. I remember watching along as she worked on this and it’s amazing to me the time and collaboration (with the researchers themselves!) that has gone into this. BEYOND grateful! Thank you thank you thank you, Rebecca!

The toolkit makes this approach accessible for me, a SLPA! I’ve been enjoying seeing the minimal pairs concept click in my kiddos and feel so much more equipped and confident using the approach the way I know it is meant to be used.

I have been using minimal pairs loosely, for years. This book helped me to level up my use of this amazing strategy with my students. Thank you for making the research accessible and applicable. Highly recommend.

What a lifesaver!!! Not sure how a 4th year uni student can make it this far and not have done any minimal pairs therapy. You help my hand and lead the way when I needed it 🙂

I was on the fence about buying this product for a few months. I finally pulled the trigger and got it. I’m so glad I did! It’s very thorough and explains minimal pairs approach really well. I’ve been out of grad school for nine years, but I’ve never really understood minimal pairs therapy and how to implement it. I feel more confident and hope to buy the cycles handbook soon.

You are a wealth of knowledge. These handbooks are a life saver. Uni doesn’t even begin to prepare you for some things you see but your resources have helped me to learn so much more. I love your work. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and practical experiences. You help to make all our lives so much easier and everything I do I know is back by evidence thanks to you.
Cindy R. (verified owner) –
Well this resource is just the BEST! I’ve learned so much about Minimal Pairs and can feel confident in my therapy now, after getting this resource and reading through it!
Elizabeth Dooley (verified owner) –
Another 5 star product. I first got this handbook when I was shifting my clinical focus to SSD and found this really informative for how to do minimal pairs therapy with fidelity and the best possible outcomes. I have since also done Rebecca’s minimal pairs PD which was further instructive but this is really comprehensive for a smaller price tag!
Kate B. (verified owner) –
This is my first TPT review and I just felt compelled to write, as this handbook has saved me so much time! It’s like having a supervisor in your pocket to quickly access the information and know the pros/cons of different approaches and targets. The target selection pages are gold! I feel really confident going into therapy with my kiddo tomorrow now. Just love that it’s research-backed. Now to print off some of AISP’s amazing flashcards and the handouts on stopping and minimal pairs. Total time savers – thank you!

I have both of your handbooks and absolutely love them! I reference them all the time! I especially love all the ideas that you give for activities to use when using the approaches and how each idea is accompanied by a picture! If you work with students who have phonological processes this resource is a MUST HAVE!
Natalie S. (verified owner) –
Rebecca takes her time to carefully weed through the research and digest it so it makes sense for the rest of us. This resource easily lays out how to effectively implement the minimal pairs approach with easy to understand language and suggestions. Since purchasing this at the beginning of the school year, I have felt so much more comfortable implementing this approach and refer back to this handbook frequently. Thank you, Rebecca, for doing the leg work to make sense of all the information to provide us with quality resources.
