MANY THANKS – LOOKING FORWARD TO USING THESE IN SESSIONS!

I did not notice that the minimal pair cards were not included until after I purchased the handbook. The information was great but I was disappointed that there were no cards for this price.
Rebecca Reinking –
Hi there, I’m sorry that you felt disappointed about this, because I receive a lot of feedback that the price is justified for the comprehensiveness and amount of research that went into this. For some background information, it was a 6-month project reading over 40 journal articles and trying to breakdown and implement the information so that SLPs can literally pick up and apply the approach the next day. I try to be as clear as I can in my product description and the naming of my resources, so I am really open to feedback on what I should say differently. I can look at adjusting “handbook” or “intervention guide” if you think the title is misleading? Thanks for your feedback, I really do take in everything and have a lot of thought on the topics.

So excited that this is available here as well as on TPT! ASP is a wealth of resources!

Thanks to your minimal pairs handbook, I got feedback from a parent today that made my day! She said that in my first session with her 5-year-old, I jokingly said “we can’t open a door with tea” and he thought that was hilarious! It totally clicked with him since then and he’s made so much progress in only two sessions so far. His mum also mentioned that they’ve been using pragmatic cues like “is that what you meant?” at home, and that he doesn’t see it as confrontational and is happy to correct his speech. Thank you so much for this amazing, comprehensive resource that I go back to regularly!

I love hearing this feedback! Thank you for sharing, and good on you for implementing this evidence-based approach!

I am OBSESSED with this handbook! In theory I understand minimal pairs but in practice one million little questions pop up for me. (Which targets should I select? What do I do if the child isn’t stimulable for a target?) Rebecca has done ALL the work for me here and I am just so darn grateful to have a go-to manual for this valuable, surprisingly complex, therapy approach from an active clinician who uses this stuff on a regular basis. I remember watching along as she worked on this and it’s amazing to me the time and collaboration (with the researchers themselves!) that has gone into this. BEYOND grateful! Thank you thank you thank you, Rebecca!
